We bought in 2014 the audiovisual rights of the worldwide known trilogy of novels written by Carole Wilkinson and published by Walker Books

Qualifications

Animation Essentials:

  • Understanding of realistic body mechanics
  • Character acting and performance
  • Experience with animating quadrupeds and other animals

Any of the following technical skills is a bonus:

  • Previous experience with Linux
  • A small amount of scripting knowledge – Mel or Python preferred
  • Previous experience in a VFX environment

3D GENERALIST/ANIMATOR

Job Description

We are currently looking for an experienced and talented 3D Generalist with strong Character Animation skills to join our creative team.

The role will work alongside talented and experienced VFX and CG Supervisors and creative leads and other VFX Artists creating all types of CG for high-end projects.

We are looking for an adaptable 3D Artist able to take on a wide range of tasks. Candidates with strong Animation skills are preferred, additional Lighting/Look Dev (Arnold and/or VRay), Character FX (cloths/hair etc), RiggingFX (particles/fluids etc) skill are highly desirable.

Qualifications

  • Proven and demonstrable experience in creating high-end CG using Maya/Arnold/Vray and/or Houdini
  • Strong Character/Creature Animation skills.
  • Additional skills in Lighting/Look Dev (Arnold and/or VRay)Character FX (cloths/hair etc), Rigging, FX (particles/fluids etc) are highly desirable.
  • Good understanding of most CG techniques and technologies.
  • Proactive in picking up proprietary tools and new techniques.

LAYOUT ARTIST

Job Description

Layout Artists produce pre-viz, post-viz, camera and character blocking to build editorially sound sequences which subsequent CG departments use as the foundation for shot construction.

  • Experience with physical cameras, photography and image composition

CHARACTER FX ARTIST

Job Description:

The Character FX Artist is responsible to design and create character effects such as cloth, hair and fur simulations. They will also be responsible to develop tools used in Character FX to help enhance the pipeline.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Creates cloth simulation, animation and finaling animation for shot work in production.
  • Works closely with TDs, develops generalized tools, used in Character FX, to help enhance the pipeline.
  • Creatively solve problems and achieve art direction for a shot.
  • Troubleshoot and solve problems independently.
  • Demonstrate artistic vision and appropriately expand upon the art direction given.
  • Technical Animation for shots in production
  • Deformations, procedural modeling and animation

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience including production experience in feature film, TV animation or visual effects.
  • Strong knowledge of Maya, Houdini, Python and Yeti; Experience in Qualoth will be a plus
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Dynamic simulation background preferred.
  • Good problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to handle and resolve recurring problems.
  • Ability to establish priorities, work independently or within a group, and proceed with objectives without supervision.

VFX PRODUCTION COORDINATOR

Job Description

The Production Coordinator delivers quota and inventory on time with other coordinators, leads, department shot teams, Production Managers and supervision.

PC’s conduct internal rounds, drive dailies, and outline production requirements such as client deliveries, such as end dates, quotas, and days spent. On a day to day basis, the PC must fill the department reporting required to share progressions and constantly maintain an accurate schedule.

Qualifications

Production Coordinator Essentials:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience within a deadline driven creative environment
  • Clear confident communicator
  • Organized and focused individual, adept in skillfully juggling tasks
  • Scheduling experience

VFX PRODUCTION ASSISTANT

Job Description

The Production Assistant facilitates administration delivery within the Show/Discipline; managing calendars, note taking, and acting as the client liaison for reviews and sends. The PA also works with the Editorial team so that all material received by the client is downloaded, dailied and tracked.

Production Assistants also set up and update show tracking documents; working with the Production Manager/Producer to input data into weekly reports and helping with the sync queue and sync tags management. The PA and coordinator teams both locally and in other facilities carry out day-to-day ad-hoc production tasks.
